I have been anxiously anticipating the release of Purminerals Tinted Moisturizer, If you read my blog regularly you know I’m hugely devoted to this brand. This tinted moisturizer is supposed to do everything the 4-in-1 powder does but in liquid form. Here is the the product information from Purminerals web site:
Your moisturizer, primer, foundation and SPF 20 all in one! This innovative 4-in-1 formula infuses the skin with powerful hydrators and proven correctives, including sodium hyaluronate and Pür’s exclusive Ceretin Complex—a one-of-a-kind ingredient engineered to radically renew the skin without irritation. Use it alone for a one-step, ultra-natural complexion or as a hydrating, broad-spectrum base for mineral makeup application.
I’m so pleased to report that this moisturizers does exactly what it claims and provides excellent coverage. I applied it with my beauty blender sponge and the moisturizer goes on smooth and creamy with no odor. I was left with silky, matte skin and only had to use a little of the product. This product can be worn alone but on days that I want extra coverage I will definitely apply a little of the 4-in-1 powder on top.
My only gripe is that the tinted moisturizer only comes in four shades so far: Light, medium, tan, and dark. The web site is nice enough to tell you which moisturizer you should pick based on which powder you wear. In the mineral powder I wear medium dark which correlates to the dark moisturizer. And the moisturizer matches me perfectly but I don’t believe it would be a match for the three other powder shades it claims to be a match for.
I’m hoping that with the success of the product they will release more shades. The 4-in-1 powders come in 10 shades that range from porcelain (the fairest) to deeper ( for our lovely mocha ladies) and it seems silly not to release the tinted moisturizer in all 10 shades so we can get a perfect match between powder and moisturizer. Besides that, I have to give Purminerals an A+, this moisturizer lives up to all of my expectations and will be in regular rotation along with the powder in my beauty routine.
This tinted moisturizer retails at $34 and can be purchased at Purminerals official web site. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny. If you’ve used Purminerals, I’d love to hear your opinion!
