I  recently had the opportunity to spend a few days in beautiful Long Beach, Ca for a business trip.  In my down time, I discovered a wonderful little shop at the pier by the hotel. I absolutely love little boutiques and fell in love the minute I walked into Au Naturel Soap.  This shop boasts everything from body butters and scrubs, soy candles, essential oils, and of course soaps all 100% home made. Au Naturel is quaint and smells  heavenly, exactly like a soap shop should smell and the displays are darling.

I’ve had a hell of a time fighting off the dry skin that Vegas winters can bring this year so I immediately wanted to find something moisturizing.  I decided to get four mini bars of soap since the shop was having a four for $10 special. I bought two bars of ‘Pamper Me’ which is their most popular bar and boasts coconut milk to nourish and hydrate, it’s even gentle enough for babies. This is the only bar I’ve used so far and my skin felt like silky and hydrated after showering with it. I also bought “Moonshadow” which is made with lavender, rosehip and oatmeal so it exfoliates and moisturizes. The last bar I opted for was ‘Splash Me’ which is  made of citrus and ginger, this is the perfect bar to energize and wake you up in the morning. I can’t wait  to try them all out and maybe order a few different scents when I go through these.

Au Naturel is the perfect shop to create adorable and unique gift sets for beauty junkies like myself and for something different than the usual Bath and Body Works fare. If you are ever in down town Long Beach, I recommend you stop by this wonderful little boutique. The owner Dawna and her staff are warm, friendly and will make you feel right at home.
