Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush

I was at Target when I came across this delightful glow and mood boosting blush by Physicians Formula. The first thing that caught my eye is the oh-so-chic packaging. It comes in a lovely pink box and the blendable palette of 3-dimensional hearts is simply adorable, I was happy just looking at it. It comes in the shades Rose and Natural, I chose Natural because it seemed a little darker and well suited for deeper skin tones. However, the claims on the back of the box are what piqued my interest the most.

According to Physicians Formula this blush is infused with a happy boost blend, featuring Happy Skin and Euphoryl. Euphoryl is a natural plant extract that has been shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of endorphins and helps protect the skin from environmental stress. It’s also supposed to have a light Violet scent to promote a feeling of joy when you wear it.

I can’t say whether the scientific claims are true and unfortunately the Violet scent is so weak, even with my nose directly over the blush I can hardly smell it. I was also not a fan of the brush that comes in the compact however it is adorable, the bristles are half hot pink and half baby pink, I’m sure it would do in a pinch though. I always prefer to use my own blush brush. I do love that the convenient compact opens up to reveal a mirror and a little storage area for the brush.

This blush is beautiful on, it’s the perfect shade of pink and lasts all day. it’s made with multi-reflective pearls and gives my cheeks a lovely little glow. At $8.99, I think this blush is well worth the price for what you’re getting aesthetically and the performance of the blush itself.
