I’m a Site Merchandiser for an online retailer by day and a freelance writer & blogger by night. My professional background includes copywriting, digital marketing, finance, and SEO.
Prior to my career in online retail, I was a staff writer for Exhibit City News, a Las Vegas publication. There, I covered the convention circuit–including prominent shows like JCK and FMI in Las Vegas and the Offshore Technology Convention in Houston.
Originally from University Place, Washington, I hold a BA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While completing my undergraduate degree, I wrote for The Rebel Yell, the UNLV newspaper, and later, the Beehive Standard Weekly, a faith based publication. Ambitious and never without a “plan B,” during that time I simultaneously worked for five years—successfully—in the financial sector. Though I’m now focused on building my career in the e-commerce world—and loving every minute of it, I maintain a strong interest in television and the arts.
I spent the 2007-2008 television season in Los Angeles where I worked in post-production for, Bunim Murray Productions (BMP), a company often thought of as the pioneer for reality television. I was selected out of thousands of applicants for a prestigious internship with the company and was later hired on and worked on MTV’s ‘The Real World’ seasons 19 and 20; I also worked on America’s Psychic Challenge, another BMP production.
